Man - if you are going to have an "event" - you can't get luckier than to have it while you are already AT the hospital. Good karma or something.

Bo could teach a lot of current musicians a bit about pickin'

I remember in the late 50's being in Atlantic City way before it became a gambling town - Bo was playing a local club & his touring vehicle was a 59 Chevy painted almost psychedelic with Bo Diddley written in bright letters all over it

                      Rock On!

get well soon Bo ! back in the 70s and 80s I had a band CALLED "MOONSHINE EXPRESS" in NY that was Bo Diddeley's back up band for about 4 years at the LONE STAR CAFE in manhatten , 5TH AVE AND 13TH STREET ... we must have backed him up at least on 50 or more occasions , includind the filming of the TV show , "LIVE FROM THE LONE STAR " with LEVON HELM , BO DIDDELY and JOHNNY PAYCHECK ...we had many magical nights playing with Bo ... many nights, he would improvise new songs , sometimes writing them on the spot , and we would have to be on our toes to follow some of these tunes that even WE were hearing for the first time ! I remember great songwriters like Doc Pomus , John Sebastion , Richie Havens , Odetta, and even Sam and DAve would be in the audience , groovin to Bo Diddleys sounds ...

thanks for the great memories Bo, and get well soon , Id love to play music with you again , or even share a big plate of ribs ! Wally Gator Sirotich http://wallygatormusic.com
