and then there's my other fave:

Eddie Rabbitt - I Love A Rainy Night

Admittedly, this is about all I know from Rabbitt, but I listened to these songs about a bazillion times growing up. :)

Ha! It's true . These are the only songs I know by him as well . There isn't even anything on him on CMT . Not that I watch that too much since I'm more of a head bangin' type of guy . Yeah , Drivin' My Life Away , I did that for quite a few years . Didn't he write that other song , " Drivin' My Wife Away ", too ?

I always thing of Rick Springfeilds , " Garden Party " when I hear " Drivin' My Life Away " . I guess they kinda go together . Thanx , mozzer for this .

Going way back to my childhood here Mozz. My dad used to rock this as well as the song "Convoy" while we were driving croos coutnry on our family vacations. (Oh, and anything John Denver.)

                            cont'd:

he died in the 1990's. He was a devoted husband and father.

I was also surprised to learn he wrote Kentucky Rain (my favorite song sung by Elvis. Still, sadly applies today.).
