Birddog54: "The pulled pork is on the bun, the brisket is sliced, and the pinto beans "is" spicy. Time to git down to it! I'd be submitting this myself but my comment ability was supposed to be tur

Welcome back...censorship SUCKS!
Me, that was great Mntnman! I never saw that one before. I know the unplugged version. Clapton is a big favorite of mine.
BD just tried to post again, still nothing. He is a little pi$$ed right now. (They censored the original pi$$ed way it was entered.)
Birddog just asked me to "toss a little John Lee Hooker in there."
So here is a great one he found with Santana and John Lee Hooker, 'The Healer':

Excellent use of Propeller, you folks. As usual CA thanks indeed!!! I'm a little "far out" (geographically speaking) to get on board.
John Lee Hooker, what a voice, I mean what VOICE! (He visited Japan a couple times, the kids loved him, even though by then he was unable to stand, while performing).
Good wishes all.
Birddog says, "Wish you were closer, glad you liked it though, do they grow jalapenys in Japan? They need something to go with that bait..."
(CA)Hi Blinkers, BD has me laughing, he is a degreed and certified chef in addition to the top-secret security clearance he held. Hehe, and that is not even how he makes his living.
Thanks for coming to the party, any links? Requests? Careful though, BD will try to smoke and slice them..
Interesting, that. Anyone who's good with food preparation is an ARTIST in my book, no less than someone who's good with oil paint, words, or a guitar.
A British friend of mine who runs an "Asian Foods" restaurant in this city (true!) grows his own jalapenys, on a little plot of land he rents out in the countryside. He reckons they're the best he's ever tasted. (That the guy also plays in a local "rock-calypso" band, is purely incidental).
I'm just off out now, to catch the last rays of a winter sun.
Appreciate the contacts always. Cheers!
BD wants to know if you have ever seen the ice carving competition in Oaska? He says they come from all over the world and the competitors are excellent.
I agree with you about ARTIST, Blinkers. Good story about your friend there. Enjoy that sunshine there it is after midnight here (song?) and they are switching us early to Daylight Savings time. I sure wish they would quit messing with the time!
Cheers back to you!
Ah, BD's heard of the ice sculpting festival -- yes, it's unbelievable, but I've only seen in-depth (no pun intended) TV shows about it. It's not in Osaka, it's up in Sapporo, on Hokkaido the northernmost Island in the Japanese Archipelago, and he's right, there are participants from around the world as well as local, so it's huge.
But too cold for me, up there (same latitude as central Maine).
PS, "After Midnight," wasn't that originally JJCale, before Clapton took it on? Music's never far away, is it?
Thanks for the input blinkers I thought about Sapporo after I asked cactus to post the message my bad, I have friends both on the International Ice Carving teams and in the Culinary Olympics there was one time they hit Osaka during the Olympics I believe. I carve myself but I have never competed in that I have ribboned in others.
Your right about "After Midnight" I hadn't thought of JJ Cale in quite a while.

Birddog54: "I'd be submitting this myself but my comment ability was supposed to be turned on Friday, and it still hasn't happened. So all I can do is vote for the moment and dear Cactus is being kind enough to submit for me, with several more music links to follow."
And this me, Cactus, I have seen most of the videos BD has found, whooo baby, this is some of the best of the best, by some of the finest, talent around. Get ready to rock out!!!
By the way, is fried okra I see over there?
Birddog54: "Darn right, and if you don't like fried, we have it stewed."
"Eco, don't miss those grilled portobello stuffed with jalapenos over there."
OH thanks. I was wondering where the veggie stuff was.
Birddog: "Thars some Carolina style cole slaw, corn bread with corn and jalapenys, did you bring some of your stuffed zuccini, I've been wantin to try it."
Got to have beans. gee birddog ain't you got no high -class manners. LOl Just kidding But I do like pinto beans.
