Fridays Metal - Disturbed - Inside The Fire

Music – One of the new disturbed songs. This is a great band, love these guys..nice people.Saw them three years ago when they played here in Cedar Rapids at our infamous, lol,"Rockstock",blew me away with their live show. This is a song with serious subject matter, suicide,so there is a message at the beginning that is about 30 seconds long so please

Well at least they try to reach out . I just can't seem to like these guys . I just get bad vibes . Can't be explained in words .

So that being said - Are any of these guys from Suicidal Tendancies ? I know one guy went to Metalica .

They rock!!!!! Yeah!! Good message at the beginning to.

Especially with the times we are going thru. Nothing to kill your over. Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary situation.

Amen to that bro. Many years ago i gave it a thought, but was lucky. You can't see the future when you are alive, but you have NO future if dead.Hard to see that anything can be good when in that frame of mind, but i have a wife and two beautiful son to show that things can get better.lolol,I think..just kidding.Life is good.

I hear that. It got so bad for me for a while when I lost my daughters in the divorce. I was freaking from the past and having nightmares, along with dealing with losing the three most precious things in my life. Lost my kids, my home and my job in the same week. That was nine months after my dad died. Things were a little rocky for a while.

But I found a better job, got my daughters back for a few years, Moved back to the mountains and things just kept getting better. Now I have grandkids, grown daughters, a wife, work and best of all Jesus Christ.

There was one bad night where I actually had a gun in my mouth. But I couldn't do it> I didn't want my kids and mom to have to suffer for my problems. Thank God. God hadn't turned his back on me. I just wasn't paying attention like I should have been.

I know things get hard. But man forever dead is a long time. LOL

That is why i posted this one. There were other versions without the intro, but this is a good message and one that we sometimes overlook.

Great but sad intent.Needs to be said. There are more suicides in the U.S. each year than Homocides.

God bless you for sharing cowboy. That's what it takes. bringing it into the open. Get help. You may have just saved a life.I too because of brain degeneration wake up in the morning and immediatedly think, "I don't want to live" with out thinking anything but God carries the day.

Even without God I didn't pick the time for entry and It ain't my choosing when to leave. My next door neighbor(15 year old kid) did it and no one has a clue. And when I volunteer many are like that. It's hard, but like this band somebody has to step up and people who know are the best.God bless this band and you bad for bringing it to light.

But as a Christian, people think about Jesus mostly about the physical pain but can you imagine the mental torment that went through his mind and he could have jumped down any time so he understands the tormented.

So if anyone reads this think what Jesus did and what you've been through and he knows so for Gods sake take that extra step.Instead of picking up a gun pick up a phone. Just one more step.

And as I respect others views like Atheism, I can't understand some of the vehemance of a few on my peaceful views. Look what Jesus did for me and was about.Life and love."Love thy neighbor as THYSELF."Love yourselves my friends. Oh, get off my soapbox. Good song.

Hate to bring the party down but when I see a wedge guess what?LOL

You'd be surprised . It's so prevalent in our society [ as humans ] .

Back when I had a moving company around 1987 or 1988 , I did this moving job for this lady . Her name was Ann[e] Baumbrind . She is the person who got the handicapped laws in place at the Federal level . You know , handicapped parking spots , the easy access doors , all that stuff . She was the one . Well in conversing with her [ i left out , she was in a wheel chair ],I found out that she had considered suicide as a way out . This was in Queens NY . The Boro President , Donald Mannis had just blown his head off and she idolized him . She thought it was a very noble way to go out . Well I did have a talk with her about that . And everytime I'd have to go out to Long Island , I could see her house , with that ramp for her wheel chair . And I always felt good , because it meant she was still alive . So , I want to thank you all for your input on this nasty subject and for allowing me to add to it . Thank You All .

Thanks for Sharing. It's been in the closet for so long.It touches more lives than people think. Remember Simon and Garfunkels song "Richard Cory."

"I wish that I could be Richard Cory......."

"So my mind was filled with wonder,

when the evening headlines read.

Richard Cory went home last night

and put a bullet in his head."

Sorry to bring the post down bad but a great post.

Thanks rdy.Although many of us haven't met,and probably never will, you still have a friend here.

I try to keep my personal religious views out of my post, but my God is one that understands me,and something or someone i can talk to when i'm down.I don't understand at all,but i know it works. That is good enough for me.

I don't mean for this this to be a religious post, and i respect anyones beliefs(as long as it peaceful and has a sense of brotherly love),even my atheist friends.

I've had several friends that have committed suicide. I've been 'there' before, during and after the act.

However here is my take on it;

They, my friends and friends of friends, seemed to think that the ultimate act of self destruction would set them free from the Demons', both real and imaginary, choking out 'their life' from them. They basically committed suicide to have the ultimate peace of mind.

In my case, when my moment of truth came, I decided to write about them, my friends and 'our Demon's', and challenge the other 'normal people' that seem to think that a persons beliefs', no matter how skewed or unusual, and life, no matter how bizarre or uncommon, is X amount of useless social or moral garbage that can be used for personal gain then thrown away at a whim.

God as my witness; I've buried too many good friends not to take it seriously.

Good band.

The best I've heard so far from the Metal ranks.
