FUNDAY-QUEEN-Somebody To Love

Music – I ended the week with the same song title so here's a start for this week. So many to choose but I particularly love the harmonic background vocals on this one.

Hanni, Freddy was one of those voices that he was able to grab your attention. Good choice of a song. Freddy and Brian were able to arrange the songs wonderfully.

Was never a great Queen fan, but their music was startlingly inventive, from first to last. Great harmonies here, rdy, no doubt about that.

(On a guitar note, no pun intended, Brian May may be the only lead player of note who seems to have stuck with the same guitar model throughout his career, at least with Queen).

He made it himself.

I was a huge fan the first three album blinkers, then it kind of was a kind of I love this song kind of thing but they were always on the list if they came around to see.

One song I can definately say I'm soooo sick of is We Will Rock You. Went to a lot of football games and they always played that over and over and over ad nauseum.

Blinkers

He and his father built the guitar. They made the pickups. The bridge if I remember correctly was taken from and old guitar of his father, then replaced later.

There is a Brian May model http://www.brianmayguitars.co.uk/

Fully endorsed by the man himself. It is like playing a heavy guitar. But I am use to guitars like this. Cause of the one I play. It is a 29 fret guitar and one heavy mother... There is nothing out there that feels like this. To some people it is a pain in the butt to play. But man you really can go to town on this style of a guitar. Combine it with the effect pedal that he endorses by DigiTech and you can play his style mixed in with your own all day and all night... LOL, I just plugged Brian May, but, jebus the man can play the guitar... lol.

Thanks for the info, Mac. Certainly we live and learn!

In addition to great guitar playing, May is also a doctor, I read recently. One talented guy for sure.
