Music – Athens, Georgia is perhaps one of the least likely underground rock havens to come out of the left-of-the-dial '80s. Home to the University of Georgia, it seems more suited to Steve Miller cover bands than the jangly/angular college rock popular in the Reagan era thanks to R.E.M. and Pylon.
