I got tired just watching the video! Tina definitely does that song justice.

I watched Tina Turner in concert at the Nissan Pavilion here in Virginia and she put on quite a show. That lady rocks!

I thought that was great it is one of my favorites as well, I love her singing, dancing and the motivation she shows, you don't look and move like that without alot of hard work.

Tina was and is one of the most 'potent' female stage performers of the era. When she hits the stage, then smiles and struts to the mic, you know the show is going to be great.
In retrospect 'she performed like a woman' which is a far cry from 'some' of the contemporary female performers that dance in lock-step like hyper sexed adolescents and sound like squeaky ear bleeding computer speakers.
Also her personal life was the 'real deal' and not a 'program' of assorted and largely unoriginal social melt-downs (or trauma and drama) because of too much success and excess to soon.
Truly one of the best and greatest female performers we will ever have in American popular music.

  The "performers" now are all show and no go. They can't live up to the performers of the past. So they seek to sell their sexuality. Which they somehow think is acting like a two bit tramp.
  Tina had that sexuality and stil does it is a smoldering thing.
  She knows how to act like a lady and still sizzle.

Tina Turner is representative of what is great about this country. You'd never predict that such a performer could come out of a place like Brownsville, TN!
Someone above said that Tina does the best version of "Proud Mary." I have to disagree--Tina is simply the most dynamic stage performer I have ever seen, but it's John Fogarty's song--written for himself. However, if you haven't heard Solomon Burke on this number, you've got a real treat ahead of you.

Have seen her in concert, she has the best legs ever, not to mention, what a performer!! Am fortunate enough to be able to see her in tour this time again!!
