Body of War is an intimate and transformational feature documentary about the true face of war today.
In his introduction to the film, Donahue indicated that "We have the most sanitized war in our history." His point was that the American people cannot deal appropriately about this war if they can't see the images related to the war. He implored, "Show the people the sacrifices the men and women of this country are making." The American people cannot feel the pain caused by this war, because the full story of the war is not available to them, thanks to the continuing media blackout of all inconvenient images and stories. Instead of learning about what's really happening in Iraq, the American people keep getting distracted with things like entertainment parading as news or tax cuts.

Well 'I" dont liek it!
As a Christian Conservative, WAR is liek a blessed sacrament.
Soldiers are martyrs to our POLITICAL reinterpretation of the BIBLE!
We ALWAYS support war. ANY kinda war. The longer and more expensive the better.
Thats why we have come around to John McCain ... HE (patriot that he is) has promised us ENDLESS war in Iraq!
Plus, we know that war dont come cheap! Which is FINE with us!
We would be only TOO HAPPY to see this Seculirist Expression of Socialism known as Democracy to fail!
That way, we could FINALLY have our Religion Based Goverment.
Judge Roy Moore for Presdient!

Good stuff ... sad that Americans are being fed a sanitized version of the Iraq war. Too bad more Americans are protesting an illegal occupation of Iraq.
9/11 was an inside job. Physics prove it but most Americans want to keep their heads in the sands, watch their reality shows. Apathy is evil!!!!

Apathy is evil; but so is delusion.
9/11 was not an inside job. Physics does not prove it.
Physicists and engineers have clearly and repeatedly shown that what we saw happen, actualy happened.
Here's a link discussing the basics, from popular mechanics. And if you can't trust PM magazine you are paranoid.

An Inside job? Physics prove it? What an idiotic statement.
Physics proves two airlines loaded with jet fuel slamming into the twin towers and blowing off heat insulation can take down the tallest of buildings. 9/11 proved it correct and you a highly disturbed individual. The 9/11 "truthers" are a bunch of morons.

How true. Wars fought to stop a dark force like Nazism are bad enough. But one fought so Bush could be a "great" war time president and cause democracy to break out all over the Middle East. The death toll and the bodies broken for a lifetime would have been bad enough had it worked. But anybody with half a brain should have realized it would not work, as hindsight now proves.
What is a man to think when he gave the prime of his life for such a fools cause? What is a family to think when they gave their loved one's life for such stupidity?
I know. Elect John McCain! He'll help by expanding the front to Iran and Syria. And 100 more years in Iraq, but that clock doesn't start running till they stop shooting at us for occupying their land.
If some foreign power occupied America, how long would it take you to stop shooting at the invaders?

I remember my visceral reaction when I heard we were going to attack Iraq. I tuned in C-SPAN, trying to make sense of it all. I watched the infamous Colin Powell PowerPoint presentation. I was riveted. I remember when Saddam lied to his own generals and my own thought that, even if he didn't have them, he'd still just sealed his fate. I remember the Baathists' attempt to poison the water supply--not realizing the poison would be so diluted it would have no effect. And I remember Valerie Plame, used as an object lesson for anyone who would dare to question the party line.
It's a huge, ugly pock on the face of America.
rightfromwrong, I've seen the twin towers' collapse successfully modelled by engineers and I saw Bush's reaction, and I'm convinced you are wrong. It was not an inside job. Bin Laden's generals almost pulled off a scathingly brilliant plan, and had they done their homework, the destruction would have been even more deadly and effective.

Bush's reaction said it all. He knew they were going after the towers and that wasn't a plane that hit the Pentagon. The twin towers were made to withstand aircraft of that nature and no building falls in 10seconds without a lot of help. What about all the explosions which took place underground knocking out all the concrete support. What company did the wiring on the weekend prior and why was there no security? The Administration & or the Pentagon would never use a company but they certainly have enough "black ops" to do it and the knowledge.

"He knew they were going after the towers and that wasn't a plane that hit the Pentagon."
You are a liar. There is not one shred of evidence supporting your delusions.
It took a hell of a lot longer than 10 seconds for the buildings to fall. Once they started falling, physics proves a collapse can occur in 10 seconds. It just took time for the extreme heat to weaken the supports.
Ohhh wait!!! I hear someone knocking on your door! Better scurry up into the attic with Obama's uncle! They're coming to take you away!

Great song to post, RD.
The truth is powerful and hurts to be heard. Sometimes music, art, and poetry are the only means left that we have to convey a message that is beaten to death by propaganda every day around the clock.
