  Quick question!! What art/jazz/rock group did foriegner come from?... times up, King Crimson! Ian McDonald, King Crimson's insane keyboardist and reeds, whose song writing, keyboard work, and sax playing can now be heard through out Foriegner's songs, was once quoted about Foriegner over King Crimson "I got tired of playing for free"

      Neither was Giles, Lake or fifty other members of Crimson... McDonald is the one that went on to write a lot of hits and make a lot of money. Where as Fripp is playing small venues still in an obscure band.
      McDonald is the one that put Crimson on the map
      Besides Fripp joined the Giles brothers, he was not a founding member of the group that would be King Crimsom
