when i lived in the china lake in California from 1989 - 1992 when i used drive down from the high desert into Los Angeles prior to living in Los Angeles i used to drive past a very large wind farm ( the largest one in the world i now find out ) and the only other thing around was the joshua trees. sorta where the road 14 meets 58 if my memory serves me correctly southeast of bakersfield. it was near a town called mojave. a dusty desert town
